Biryani That Could Go Global {Biryani Pot}

When people ask me for my staple favorite places to eat in Abu Dhabi, there is one that continually makes the list. Biryani Pot is reliable, quick, flavorful and relatively healthy (of course depending on what you order). It is small business, with only two outlets in Abu Dhabi, one in Dubai and one in Al Ain, which keeps the quality high and consistent.  I usually go to the Galleria Mall venue in Abu Dhabi, only since it is closer to me...but why even worry about location when they deliver!

With a plethora of Indian food in this city, Biryani Pot is different.  It is fresh, modern, and won't leave you feeling heavy and sluggish.  For example, instead of only offering the traditional biryani with rice, they make those wonderful pots of goodness with quinoa!  They also offer much more than biryani.  There are curries, grilled meats, lentils, wraps, and even a handful of purely veggie options, like grilled paneer.  The simple skewers of grilled chicken or lamb come with your choice of spice, and can be accompanied by whole wheat roti or buttery naan. 

They have just created a new menu that features some decadent smaller plates.  If you like spice, try the Chicken Masala Chaat: Fried potato chunks with shredded chicken, covered in a spicy masala sauce. I can honestly see Biryani Pot becoming a big hit in the US and the UK, and I am actually not sure why it hasn't ventured there yet.
